Strawberry Oats Smoothie:

If you’re not already a fan of strawberries, you should be. Not only are they juicy, summery and delicious, they’re a bona fide superfood, too.It is cultivated worldwide for its fruit. The fruit (an aggregate accessory fruit) is widely appreciated for its characteristic aroma, bright red color, juicy texture, and sweetness. It is consumed in large quantities, either fresh or in such prepared foods as preserves, fruit juice, pies, ice creams, milkshakes, and chocolates. Artificial strawberry flavorings and aromas are also widely used in many products like lip gloss, candy, hand sanitizer, perfume, and many others. Nutrient-rich and packed with antioxidants (like vitamin C), strawberries offer a wide range of health benefits like decreased cardiovascular disease risk and that phytochemicals present in strawberries have anti-inflammatory or anticancer properties. Now we are going to see a summer refreshing drink.

Ingredients

 Strawberry - 7 to 8nos

Chilled milk -1  1/2 glass

Ice cubes- 4nos

Oats - (powdered) - 1/2 cup

Sugar/Honey - as needed

Chilled water - 1/2 glass

Strawberry Ice cream (optional)

Whipped Cream (optional)

 Method:

  • First chop the fruit and add it to a mixer / blender.

  •  Add the oats, sugar and water to the fruit pieces and blend it well. When it's fully smashed add the chilled milk and the ice cubes and blend it well. Sugar can be replaced with honey.I have powdered the oats in a mixer.
  • Serve it in a glass with 1 scoop strawberry ice cream added to it. Garnish with strawberry pieces. Adding whipped cream as a topping is also optional.


  • Enjoy the smoothie!!!
