Rambutan Juice (இறம்புட்டான் பழச்சாறு ):

Rambutan Juice (இறம்புட்டான் பழச்சாறு ):

The rambutan is native to southeast Asia and is closely related to the lychee and longan. The skin is red and covered with hairy spines. The flesh is semitransparent or pale pink and has a mainly sweet flavour. The single seed is glossy brown and not edible. It is a major source of Vitamin C, Potassium and Calcium. As it is a main product in Sri lanka its available at all the Indian stores in Europe during summer and I always love eating it. May be a dozen in one day :-)
