Cold Coffee(Frappé coffee):

Cold Coffee(Frappé coffee):

Frappé coffee is a Greek foam-covered iced coffee drink made from instant coffee. Accidentally invented by a Nescafe representative in 1957 in the city of Thessaloniki. It is very popular in Greece and Cyprus, especially during the summer, but has now spread to other countries. The word frappé is French and comes from the verb frapper which means to 'hit'; in this context, however, in French, when describing a drink, the word frappé means chilled, as with ice cubes in a shaker.

When we use filter coffee liquid to make the frappe it's called as COLD COFFEE. There are various brewing methods; In case of hot brewing, sweeteners and flavorings are often mixed into the hot coffee before cooling, due to higher solubility in hot water. Alternatively, syrup (sugar pre-dissolved in water) may be used.

I have used Narasus filter coffee 60:40 level to get the coffee essence and prepared this. The same can be prepared using NESCAFE too.
