Bread Rasamalai

Bread Rasamalai:

Ras malai  is a sweetmeat consumed mainly in India, as well as in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The name ras malai comes from two words in Hindi: ras, meaning "juice", and malai, meaning "cream". It has been described as "a rich cheesecake without a crust. This dish was invented by the Bengali sweetmeat confectioner and businessman K.C. Das in the year 1930. 
Now I am going to prepare a very easy receipe Bread Rasamalai. Rasamalai lovers can prepare this instantly to appetize your sweet tooth instantly.

Ingredients


Bread slices- 4nos

Milk - 1lt

Chopped nuts - few

Saffron strands - 7 to 10 or Yellow food colour - needed

Sugar - 2 tbsp

Elaichipowder - 2 pinches

 Method:

  • First take the milk in a heavy bottomed vessel and heat it in slow flame until it reduces to 500ml. Parallely add saffron strands or yellow food colour  and elaichi powder to the milk.
  • Now add the sugar when its reduced to 500 ml maximum. Add the chopped badam, pista and make it boil well and get reduced to another 300ml.
  • Now take the bread slices and use a lid to cut the slice into small circle.
  • Now place the loaves into a bowl.
  • Add the hot milk to the loaves and allow it to get soaked and absorbed for 15mins. Serve it in a cup.
